I’m Jazmine! An actress, writer, producer, filmmaker, and sometimes director in NYC.

I’m a Latin award-winning writer, actress, and filmmaker based in NYC. A graduate of The William Esper Studio for Meisner Technique. With improv training at The Groundings and sketch comedy writing at Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) and The Brooklyn Comedy Collective.

I pride myself in being a tenacious self-starter. I founded a production company ‘SimmeringFire Productions’ where I produced award-winners like ‘Shazmine: The Life of a Popstar’ and ‘You’re Not Sorry’. And I usually lean towards writing comedy, horror, and fantasy.

I started a sketch comedy group ‘A Series Of Unfortunate Folks’, where I write and perform dark comedy sketches.

Some awards I've won are Best Horror Short, Best Screenplay at NY International Shorts, New York International Women's Film Festival, Hollywood horror, ShockFest, Macabre faire Film, Horror Gold Award competition.

My pilot script ‘Ava + Eli 4ever’ has some notable advancements. Examples - 2nd round of Launch Pad Competition, Quarter-Finalist in the LA International Screenplay Awards and Diverse Voices Screenwriting Lab.

That script and ‘Faust Fucking Rebellion’ got me Semi-Finalist spots in programs such as The Sign Post Fellowship & The Disney Entertainment Television (DET) Writing Program. Plus a general meeting with a major studio (Paramount) and landed me a literary manager for some time.

I LOVE to dance and also enjoy improv, stand up, and anything else that will make me laugh!

As an artist, I continue to explore truth in my work, whether that be in a project I produce, direct, write, or act in.

My ultimate goal is to be part of a TV writers room, sell scripts, and produce my own TV shows.
